Connectivity

 

1. My controller wont connect to my PS4™

• Simply connect the USB cable directly into your PS4™ USB socket 

• Press and hold the “home” button for approximately 3 seconds

• Connection will be made and you will be prompted to “select a user”

• Once selected your profile or a guest profile, the controller will be connected and ready to use. Simply disconnect the cable for wireless play.

 

If your controller still fails to connect, please download latest update at www.gioteck.com/firmware ensuring you have selected the correct version. Follow the steps on the website to update the controller to the latest settings.

 

 2. My controller wont connect to my PC

• Simply connect via the USB cable provided with “plug and play” support. Wait for 5 seconds until Windows recognises the device. You will see the controller in your Steam menu or other game menus with gamepad support.

• If you experience any problems, please download the latest firmware at www.gioteck.com/firmware ensuring you select the correct controller.

 

3. My controller wont connect to my PC via Bluetooth™

• For wireless Bluetooth™ connectivity, (preferred gameplay within Steam™ software). Firstly, open Steam™ in “Big picture mode” and have this loaded in your system tray.

• Navigate to “Bluetooth & devices” in Windows settings.

     • Press and hold “home button” &  “share” on your controller for 5 seconds until the LED’s repeatedly blink. The controller is now in “pairing” mode.

     • Select “Add Bluetooth device” on your PC and then select “Bluetooth” from the available drop down. You will see “wireless controller” available in the options. Select this and wait for Windows to setup the device. 

• During operation in Steam™, you can press and hold the home button to turn the controller off. When re-connecting, simply load Steam, and press the home button once on the controller. The LED’s will flash and connection will be made.

 

• If this fails, please press and hold the small “reset” button on the underside of the controller for 3 seconds. This will return the unit to factory settings. Please retry the above steps.

 

• If your controller still fails to connect, please download latest update at www.gioteck.com/firmware ensuring you have selected the correct version. Follow the steps on the website to update the controller to the latest settings.

 

4. My controller wont connect to my iPhone

• Press and hold “home button” &  “share” on your controller for 5 seconds until the LED's repeatedly blink.The controller is now in “pairing” mode.

• Navigate to settings on your iPhone™

      • Ensure your Bluetooth™ is turned on

      • Once your iPhone™ has finished searching for new devices, you should see your controller listed. Please select that from the list. 

      • The SC3 will only be supported by games/apps that support gamepad play. Please check this with your App provider first.

 

5. My controller wont connect to my Android Phone

• Press and hold “home button” &  “share” on your controller for 5 seconds until the LED's repeatedly blink.The controller is now in “pairing” mode.

• Navigate to settings on your phone™

      • Ensure your Bluetooth™ is turned on

      • Once your Android phone has finished searching for new devices, you should see your controller listed. Please select that from the list. 

      • The SC3 will only be supported by games/apps that support gamepad play. Please check this with your App provider first.

 

Battery/charging

 

1. My controller wont charge

• Please ensure you are charging via the PS4™ / PS5™ console or USB port on your PC only. Whilst other adapters/chargers may work, incompatible amperage may be an issue.

• Please ensure your PS4™ or PC are connected to mains power

 

If your controller still won’t charge, please press and hold the small “reset” button on the underside of the controller for 3 seconds. This will return the unit to factory settings. Please then repeat the above steps.

• Please charge the battery for 3 hours without any use. Once fully charged, please disconnect from power source.

 

2. My battery won’t hold its charge

• Please press and hold the small “reset” button on the underside of the controller for 3 seconds. This will return the unit to factory settings.

• Please charge the battery for 3 hours without any use. Once fully charged, please disconnect from power source.

 

LEDs

 

1. How do I change the colour of my LED's?

• By default, the SC3 is set to replicate the colour of the PS4™ profile

• If you wish to change the colour of the LED, on the rear of the SC3 there is a rectanguler button (PROG). By pressing this, it will cycle through all of the colour options for the SC3. There are a number of static colour options and two RGB rainbow effects available.

• Simply cycle through these colours until you land on your selected colour.

 

Facias & Thumbsticks

 

1. How do I change my facia?

• The Sc3 comes with two facias in the box. One is installed on the controller, whilst the FPS camo pack is a bonus addition where you may install this yourself. We provide a small torx screwdriver to remove the screws from the front of the controller. There are 8 screws in total which need to be removed. Two on each of the side facias and 4 on the centre facia. 

• Be careful when removing these screws and keep them in a safe location. 

• With your nail, or soft thin prizing tool unlick the side facias from the inside top corner. With the centre facia, please first remove the right thumb stick, this will give you access to the gap underneath where you can unclip the facia. 

• Once removed, simply place the new facia on the controller and once clipped in and firmly in place, use the screws to tighten this onto the main body of the controller. 

Please be careful with small parts around children. 

 

2. How do I change my thumbsticks? 

• The SC3 has easy replaceable thumbsticks. Simply pull upwards and the thumbstick will come awafrom the main body. 

• Remove the replacement thumbsticks from the box, and place these on the stick. It should auto align the cross part of the main body and the magnet will pull the thumbstock down creating a tight connection. 

• Be careful with small parts around children. 

 

Trigger Rumble

 

1. How do i change the strength of the rumble

• By default, the SC3 has trigger rumbles turned off. To turn them on, press and hold the mute button on the front of the controller for 3 seconds. The LED's will flash indicating you are in "trigger rumble mode".

• Whilst in this mode, press either "R2" or "L2" to cycle through the multiple options in strength of rumble. This will be indicated by the colour of the LED

     • Red will indicate a strong vibration

     • Blue will indicate a medium vibtration

     • Green will indicate no vibration

• Each trigger is controlled independently, and therefore you can have different strength of vibtration in each trigger, or only have one trigger vibrate.

Audio issues (VX-4 Wired with Audio version only)

1. There is no audio through my headphones via the Aux port

• Please ensure 3.5mm connector is fully seated in the aux port

• Please navigate to settings on your PS4™ console.

     • Select device / controller settings.

     • Select Audio settings and switch between sound/chat/all for sound through your controller vs your TV.

             

2. There is no audio through my TV

• Please navigate to settings on your PS4 console.

     • Select device / controller settings.

     • Select Audio settings and switch between sound/chat/all for sound through your controller vs your TV.

 

 

Connectivity 

 

1. My controller wont connect to my PS4™

• Please ensure you use the cable provided and connect directly into the USB port on your PS4™.

• Press and hold the “home” button for approximately 3 seconds.

• Connection will be made and you will be prompted to “select a user”.

• Once selected your profile or a guest profile, the controller will be connected and ready to use. Simply disconnect the cable for wireless play

 

If this fails pease press and hold the small “reset” button on the underside of the controller for 3 seconds. This will return the unit to factory settings. Please then retry the above steps.

 

If your controller still fails to connect, please download latest update at www.gioteck.com/firmware ensuring you have selected the correct version. Follow the steps on the website to update the controller to the latest settings.

 

2.  My controller wont connect to my PC

• Connecting to PC via a wired connection is advised. Simply connect via the USB cable provided with “plug and play” support.

 

3. My controller wont connect to my PC via Bluetooth

For wireless Bluetooth™ connectivity, (preffered for gameplay within Steam™ software).

• Firstly, open Steam™ in “Big picture mode” and have this loaded in your system tray.

• Navigate to “Bluetooth & devices” in Windows settings.

     • Press and hold “home button” &  “share” on your controller for 5 seconds until the LED’s repeatedly blink twice. The controller is now in “pairing” mode.

     • Select “Add Bluetooth device” on your PC and then select “Bluetooth” from the available drop down. You will see “wireless controller” available in the options. Select this and wait for Windows to setup the device. 

• During operation in Steam™, you can press and hold the home button to turn the controller off. When re-connecting, simply load Steam, and press the home button once on the controller. The LED’s will flash and connection will be made.

 

• If this fails, please press and hold the small “reset” button on the underside of the controller for 3 seconds. This will return the unit to factory settings. Please retry the above steps.

Audio

• Plug the cable provided into your Switch™ dock ensuring the dock has mains power

• Navigate to the controller menu in your Switch™ settings.

• Navigate to “change grips/order” menu within the controller menu

• The Switch™ will automatically detect the controller and connect.

• If this fails, please download the latest firmware at www.gioteck.com/firmeware

• If this still fails, please contact support@gioteck.com

 

2. My controller wont connect to my PC

• Simply connect via the USB cable provided with “plug and play” support.

     • If you experience any problems, please download the latest firmware at www.gioteck.com/firmware ensuring you select the correct controller.

Connectivity

1.My controller wont connect to my Switch™

 Wireless setup:

• Navigate to the controller menu in your Switch™ settings.

• Navigate to “change grips/order” menu within the controller menu

• Whilst displaying this screen, press and hold “home” and “Y” for 3 seconds until the LED’s flash indicating the controller is in pairing mode.

• After approximately 10 seconds, the controller will connect to the Switch™

• If the controller fails to connect. Repeat these steps.

• If the controller still fails to connect, please move to wired setup

 

Wired setup:

• Plug the cable provided into your Switch™ dock ensuring the dock has mains power

• Connect the controller

• The Switch™ will automatically detect the controller and connect.

• You can now remove the cable from the controller and continue to connect wirelessly (providing controller has sufficient power)

• If your controller still fails to connect, please press and hold the small “reset” button on the back of the controller for 3 seconds. Repeat the above two steps.

2. My controller wont connect to my PC

• Connecting to PC via a wired connection is advised. Simply connect via the USB cable provided with “plug and play” support.

 

3. My controller wont connect to my PC via Bluetooth

• Select “Add Bluetooth device” on your PC and then select “Bluetooth” from the available drop down. You will see “Pro Controller” available in the options. Select this and wait for Windows to setup the device. 

•During operation in Steam, you can press and hold the home button to turn the controller off. When re-connecting, simply load Steam, and press the home button once on the controller. The LED’s will flash and connection will be made.

 

• Please press and hold the small “reset” button on the underside of the controller for 3 seconds. This will return the unit to factory settings. Please retry the above steps.
